Chitrakoot's best-kept secret, Shabari waterfalls, will soon get UP's first glass skywalk

The waterfall, located in the Markundi range, will proffer a breathtaking view of the forest from the skywalk.

In an endeavour to proliferate the footfall at the eco-tourism hub of Chitrakoot, the Uttar Pradesh government is all set to introduce the state's first glass skywalk at Chitrakoot's Tulsi waterfall. The waterfall (initially called Shabari waterfall), located in the forest division's Markundi range, will proffer to people on the skywalk a breathtaking view of the forest below.

The proposal of the same has been submitted by the UP Forest Corporation (UPFC), which encompasses the construction of a cactus garden, rock garden, and view-shades near the Tulsi waterfall, along with the skywalk.

The project is said to be inspired by Bihar's skywalk bridge in Rajgir. The forest dept spokesperson confirmed that designers of the Bihar bridge will be consulted for assistance.
