UP Secondary Education Council's board exams for Class 10, stand cancelled this year.
Benefitting almost 56 lakh students across Uttar Pradesh, the apex authorities of the state have taken important decisions in regard to board examinations and the promotion of pupils to the next class. While Class 10 board examinations for students enrolled in the UP board have been cancelled, examinations of Class 12 students are proposed to be conducted in the second week of July. These decisions by the state authorities will ensure that the educational training of students is not hampered by the second wave of the ongoing pandemic.
Class 12 UP board exams postponed
As per the latest reports, UP Secondary Education Council's board exams for Class 10, stand cancelled this year. However, examinations for Class 12 shall be conducted at a later date. The second week of July is the proposed period, as it is expected that the situation will be conducive by then. Further, the time duration of exams will be only 1.5 hours and students will have to answer only three questions.
Moreover, it has been ordered that students of Classes 6-9 and 11 in all schools and across all boards, shall be promoted to the next class. This decision has been taken by the government so that educational training of pupils, doesn't suffer during the pandemic. Overall, 56 lakh students will benefit from this decision taken by the apex authorities of UP, to ensure the well-being of children during the second wave of this pandemic.
