Coronavirus Update: Lucknow has a better recovery rate than the national average

An increase in the recovery rate of Covid 19 patients is giving us new hopes

The recovery rate for the Covid 19 has improved to 31% in Lucknow, that's more than the national average of 27.75%. Out of the 226 cases of coronavirus in Lucknow, 71 patients have recovered while the number of active cases remains 154.



A ray of hope

Another good news had come in just days ago, about the Plasma therapy, that's now going on in full swing at Lucknow's KGMU hospital. KGMU also happens to be the first medical facility in the state to start this process. The vitals of one of the patients in KGMU has been stable after he was put on convalescent plasma therapy. This 58-year-old government doctor from Orai, was transfused with two 200ml doses of plasma donated by a Covid-19 survivor.

A new phase of Lockdown has been implemented and is supposed to go on till May 17, 2020. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a detailed plan to restart the economy and we can only hope for things to get better from here.

After a gap of 2 months, finally the authorities have come up with considerable relaxations during this 4th phase of the lockdown in hopes of reviving the economical conditions. The administration of Lucknow announced that centrally air-conditioned shopping complexes in the city can be back in business but the air conditioners need to be kept shut.
