Attempting to combat seasonal fever, vector & water-borne diseases, 73,000 monitoring committees are functional across the country. As a part of this, 4 lakh officials are trying hard to spread awareness amongst the common masses to practice caution and preventive behaviour against the diseases. Further, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, ANMs and village heads have been ordered to alert the rural residents against water-borne and vector-borne diseases.

At 3,011 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and 855 Community Health Centres (CHCs) in Uttar Pradesh, sufficient facilities are being readied to ensure proper cure and treatment of these diseases. While 24-hour services will be available at 592 PHCs in the urban areas, fever clinics have also been set up at PHCs and CHCs to cater to emergency requirements.
