Directives for traffic diversion issued in Lucknow leading up to R-day parade

Traffic in several locations in the city will be diverted to facilitate preparations for the 74th Republic Day.

Leading up to the Republic Day parade in Lucknow, directives for traffic diversion in several areas of the city have been issued by Lucknow Police Commissionerate.

The parade will begin from Bal Sangrahalaya in Charbagh and pass through Vidhan Sabha and Hazratganj to reach the KD Singh Babu Stadium. Commuters from several areas of the city will have to take alternative routes to reach their destination as preparations for the event are in full flow.

Hazratganj crossing to Bapu Bhavan route to be completely shut from Jan 25

In order to complete the seating arrangements and other preparations in front of the Vidhan Sabha, no commute will be allowed on the Vidhan Sabha Marg from Hazratganj chauraha to Bapu Bhavan crossing after 2 PM on January 25. Furthermore, no movement of vehicles from Hazratganj intersection to Mayfair or Parivartan Chowk will be allowed after the said time.

The traffic arriving from Nishatganj will not be able to go past Sankalp Vatika, having to take a left towards Baikunthdham, 1090 chauraha, and golf club while those coming in from Gomti Nagar will be redirected towards Clark Avadh Intersection via Hanuman Setu and Subhash Chandra chauraha.

Furthermore, the directives also state that entire stretch of road that goes from Bapu Bhawan to Hazratganj intersection via Vidhan Sabha will be completely sealed from 4 PM on January 25 till the parade concludes on Jan 26.
