Presented in the city by Rajib Sikdar, a distinguished artist and secretary of India's Art Family, the exhibition boasts a collection featuring some of his own masterpieces. In a candid exchange with Knocksense, Sikdar unveiled, "The exhibition revolves around a vibrant theme, both in the literal and metaphorical sense. Each artwork on display depicts a plethora of emotions and colours."
"The exhibition's underlying motive is to forge a closer bond between individuals and the realms of humanity and art, seamlessly intertwined through the currents of emotion", he added.
Vivid Snapshots: Capturing India's rich culture and traditions in photographs
The art exhibition also showcases an array of captivating photographs by esteemed photographers from across the nation. Notably, lens artist Ritwik Ray, hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Darjeeling, graces the exhibit with his vivid and dynamic compositions. Through his striking captures, he has attempted to immortalize the enchanting Ritual Dance of Tibetan Buddhist Monks in Laddakh, called Cham.
Ray's lens captures the dance's resplendent hues and vibrant movements, masks and costumes of dancers, breathing life into this cherished tradition.
Depicting spiritual and mythological wonders through mesmerizing paintings
The enchanting art exhibition also showcases captivating paintings by Subhendu Biswas, another skilled artist from the group, originating from Kolkata. His remarkable artwork harmoniously integrates mythological and spiritual elements, expertly presented on expansive portrait canvases.
These artworks cast a spell of awe and inspiration, masterfully combining hues and even mirrors into their composition. Through this ingenuity, the observers found themselves not merely as spectators, but as integral parts of his enchanting paintings.
