Girl cadets from UP Sainik School secure over 18% of all female seats in NDA
In a major achievement, five girl cadets from the UP Sainik School Lucknow have been selected by the SSB to join the National Defence Academy (NDA). Delighted with the achievement, the principal of the school claimed that this is the highest ever selection of girl students to NDA from a single school.
Total of 10 cadets from the school cleared the exam
The five girl cadets from the school that have secured the selection are Sanskriti Sharma, Vaishnavi Tripathi, Jyotsna Yadav, Priyanka, and Hansi Malik. Apart from them, five male cadets have also cleared the exam for NDA and all ten cadets will begin their training soon.
It is noteworthy that Captain Manoj Pandey UP Sainik School Lucknow opened its doors for girl cadets in 2018. And the selection of five girl cadets in one year from the institute speaks volumes about the growth culture at the school.
Furthermore, there are only 27 female seats in NDA and five out of them have gone to cadets from Lucknow's UP Sainik School.
