Weather in Lucknow has taken a pleasant turn owing to the western disturbances and we’re not sure if we’re supposed to pack our woollens just yet. The city witnessed heavy rainfall and hailstorm today, leaving Lucknowites in a sunshine state of mind.

Mid-day onwards, Lucknow witnessed a heavy spell of rainfall coupled with hailstones in major parts of the city, which was followed by the sun peeking out of the clouds shortly. Amidst all this, in areas like Kanpur, Sonbhadra and Churk, these stormy conditions have been a nuisance for farmers as they have been causing severe damage to the standing crops.
According to the MET department of Lucknow, the city recorded a temperature of maximum of 30°C while the minimum lay at 16°C on Wednesday. Given this wide gap between the minimum and maximum temperatures, the state administration has issued health warnings for the general public, as flu patients have been on a speedy rise. Till Wednesday, the maximum amount of rainfall was recorded in Kanpur and Churk.
