Inspired by GOT Museum, UP government planning a movie-to-museum project on 'Mahabharat'

This will be analogous to the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad and the "Game of Thrones Museum" in North Ireland.

A proposal to launch a "movie to museum" project in the state of Uttar Pradesh has been received. A certain businessman plans to construct enormous sets for a movie on the epic "Mahabharat" that will be filmed in the state.

Following filming, the sets will be transformed into a museum to display the movie's props, including costumes, armour, mannequins, and other items.

This is going to be a big project

The project is indeed a great initiative that is inspired by the American fantasy drama television series 'Game Of Thrones'. Uttar Pradesh Govt. and EN Communication Pvt Ltd, will be investing in this project. An agreement was signed in Mumbai roadshow, ahead of the UP Global Investors Summit, where a request for a suitable location for placing the set up for the shoot was put forward. The huge set that would be constructed for the shoot would later be used for the museum setup for anyone to visit, for a small fee.

Due to Mahabharat's widespread appeal, the concept has an enormous potential. The movie will get people all buzzing.

A handsome amount to be invested

Prathamesh Kumar, additional chief executive officer of Invest UP, spoke on behalf of the state government. For this objective, the firm has decided to invest Rs. 1500 crore. The UP Development Forum assisted in bringing the cooperation to life (UPDF).
