IPL 2022 match preview & fantasy league prediction; Lucknow Super Giants to take on CSK in match 7

The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has come to its penultimate clash. It's a clash between the teams that show contrasting characters, where one is being led by Lokesh Rahul and the other by veteran Ravindra Jadeja. Both Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants stumbled in their first game. It was a crushing 6-wkts defeat for the oldies Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Kolkata Knight Riders whereas, the newbies Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) offered an edge of the seat thriller against their counterparts Gujarat Titans.

On the bright side, with LSG’s middle-order stepping up right after the top-order collapse and Dushmantha Chameera’s breathtaking spell, skipper KL Rahul will only have to worry about their opening lineup. Whether to use Evin Lewis as the team's opener or to use Ayush Badoni at Number 3 spot, will be a decision to make. With their belligerent performance in the previous game, Super Giants are looking forward to taking on the IPL star Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on the other hand has a reputation for being calm and composed irrespective of the result. However, it's good news for CSK too as former skipper and legendary finisher, MS Dhoni smashed a mature 38 ball 50 in the previous match. Yet another retired player, Dwayne Bravo balanced the bowling side for CSK with a 3-wkt haul. Super Kings’ opening order will be a concern as they will face off against the aggressive Super Giants in today's match at Brabourne stadium. But with Moen Ali returning back to the squad, the story is most likely to look different.

Interestingly, the first four matches of the tournament have been won by the chasing teams and with dew playing a crucial role in deciding the match result. It will be most likely that the team winning the toss will choose to field. For CSK, many changes are not expected, except for Moen Ali in place of Davon Conway and Rajvardhan Hangarkekar in place of Shivam Dube. On the other hand, LSG is more likely to make changes in its batting order with Evin Lewis and South Africa wicketkeeper batter Quinton De Kock opening the side and skipper Rahul taking the number 3 spot and Ayush Badoni taking the number 4 spot.
