IRCTC launches a new tour package from Lucknow to Ladakh via Tejas Express!

As per reports, this tour by IRCTC will start on September 26

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has come up with a brand new opportunity for Lucknowites, waiting to travel to Ladakh. As per reports, IRCTC launched the 5th package of its kind on Tuesday, which is all set for a start on September 26. As a part of this scheme, travellers will be taken to Delhi via the Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express. Thereafter, the journey to Ladakh will be undertaken via the air route.

Trip to extend from September 26 to October 3

As per reports, IRCTC has crafted four packages of this kind in the past. Driven by high demands, the organisation came up with its latest plan recently. Reportedly, the Chief Regional Manager of IRCTC informed that commuters will hop on-board Tejas Express for this trip, on September 26. Further, reports state that the itinerary consists of a trip stretching over eight days and seven nights and the journey shall conclude on October 3.

Travellers will get to stay in a 3-star hotel and they will tour through Stupa, Math, Leh Palace, Shanti stupa, Gurudwara, Pangong Spring, the villages of Diskit, Hunder and Tuturk and other locations. Notably, three-time meals in the train, flight and the hotel are covered by this package. As per reports, the package with a two-seater room in the hotel would cost ₹38,600 per person while a commuter will have to pay 37,700 if he/she opts for a room on a three-sharing basis.

It is noteworthy that Tejas Express is gradually evolving as a favourite amongst tourists. As per reports, the travellers have asked for more such trains on routes leading to Shimla and major centres in the northeast. On the other hand, IRCTC is working on packages for Kerala and Vaishno Devi. Reportedly, the officials have already formulated a plan for the same and the project awaits approval from the higher authorities.
