Lucknow Nagar Nigam has decided to levy an overnight parking charge for all cars left on the city roads. This practice is aimed at eliminating unlawful, illegal and haphazard parking in Lucknow.
As per reports, a daily charge will be imposed on small cars, reaching up to ₹2,500 annual for small cars. Luxury car owners will have to pay as much as ₹4,000 yearly, for parking cars overnight.
Meanwhile, auto, e-rickshaws, and tempos will be charged an annual fee of ₹2,000, while travel agencies providing cars for rent will be charged an annual amount of ₹8,000. Similarly, luxury car agencies will be charged ₹24,000 by the LMC.
“The fee for small mobile food vans operating in the city has been increased to ₹24,000 from ₹18,000 annually,” said the Municipal commissioner.
