Knocksense Shorts | Plans underway for establishing a centre of excellence for youth in UP

The new centre, which will focus on making youth globally employable, will be known as the 'World Skill Centre'.

The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development mission has readied a presentation on a centre of excellence for youth in the state. The proposed centre in UP will provide skill training to youngsters in fields like software and hardware engineering, petrochemical engineering and healthcare — professions that are high-in-demand globally.

The eligibility criteria for admission into the centre has been set and one will have to be between 13 and 17 years of age to enter. They must also have passed Class 12th with English as a subject. The candidate will also have to possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to qualify.
