Kukku Da Dhaba is a fun version of a highway dhaba but with comfortable sofas, fun decor and air conditioning. Smack in the middle of the city, Kukku is the perfect amalgamation of a restaurant’s comfort and a dhaba’s comfort food. The joint is adorned with several posters screaming desi dialogues and slangs like “Tumhare muh mein Ghee Shakkar”, “Beta tumse na ho paega”, “Horn OK Please” and “Humare yahan jo khayega, dobara aayega”, among many others.
The restaurant also boasts of having the necessary truck, except they don’t have it parked outside but adorning the walls. Kukku also has miniature versions of the quintessential charpayis and these cute things are used to serve food.

Though, all fun and humour, food is the best thing about this place. Like any other dhaba, the food does not try to fool you, it isn’t pretentious, it is simply sprinkled with a dash of green coriander leaves and the dhaba’s signatory grated paneer. The food at Kukku Da Dhaba is rich, robust with spices and packs a real punch with its strong flavours.
If you like subtlety, sorry to break it to you, Kukku Da Dhaba is not the place for you. This is a place for people who celebrate the bold flavours and the cheesy jokes. The handi dishes will absolutely blow your mind, the biryani will leave you licking your fingers and the parathas will make you want to come back. You especially have to try their handi dishes as they are the best we’ve had in a while and they will make you want to come back to Kukku’s again and again.
