The taste of Awadh is probably its star attraction for people around the globe and this year, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Development Corporation is banking on this factor to make a global statement of its excellent hygiene standards. Launched at the Gomti Hotel in Lucknow on Saturday, the festival has panned over to 3 other state districts including, Bareilly, Prayagraj and Chitrakoot. Extending over two days, the event will throw light upon the standard protocols adopted by the state in view of COVID-19, hallmarking the hygiene of its services and safety of the people.

Uttar Pradesh has launched a food festival to present a plethora of gourmet Awadhi dishes at the disposal of people, however, that is not the USP of this flavour-gala. Via the channel of this food-festival, the state department of tourism is showcasing the protocols and procedures it has devised and developed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bar of expectations is set high, given the outbreak of the infectious virus and authorities at Lucknow and other districts have leapt an extra mile to meet with the prime standards. The MD of the state corporation, reportedly stated that it has been exercising all protocols and norms established by the state and this opportunity, the first since the COVID-19 lockdown, will expound on the preparedness of the hotels under state authority.
