Short-route flights are gaining immense popularity in India by tapping onto the domestic traffic. While several flights have already been commissioned from Agra to various cities, the Lucknow-Agra air service will be flagged off by next month. As per reports, the flight will commence its journey from the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport and reach the Kheria Airport in Agra at 3:45 PM. After 15 minutes, this flight will take off for Lucknow.

It may be noted that Agra had streamlined a string of domestic operations to several key locations across the nation in March that came to a standstill in wake of the second wave rise. However, in line with increased passenger demands and the bettering scope of COVID-19 now, the flights are all set to take off once again. Reportedly, the Agra-Ahmedabad-Nagpur flight will also become regular from October 2.

This swelling air network is set to revive the aviation industry and promote tourism in Agra. The hospitality sector is also said to benefit greatly from the move, as new flights mean more tourist influx. A mirror effect of the same will be witnessed in Lucknow by next month, suggested reports.
