The number of corona cases in Lucknow is on a rise. With 4 new containment zones being proposed by the health department, there are now a total of 31 containment zones in the state capital. The new areas include- Sector F Rajajipuram, Krishnanagar, a flat in Mall Avenue and an apartment of Sarojini Naidu Marg.
Uttar Pradesh has already become the fifth worst-hit state and with the cases rising at the current speed, things don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. The only good news right now, is the fact that private labs in Uttar Pradesh have begun testing for Covid-19.

COVID-19 cases in Lucknow have seen a major spike and now, new areas are being affected at a very fast pace. Gomti Nagar extension, Nirala Nagar, Krishna Nagar in Alambagh, GRP lines in Charbagh, Fatima Hospital, are just few of the containment zones.

With Unlock 1.0, businesses in the city came back to life and people can now be seen out on the streets all the time. However, looking at the growing number of cases it is important for people to stay indoors, as much as possible.
Although we’ve been allowed considerable relaxations, we still need to abide by the rules set by the concerned authorities. Social distancing and sanitising are the need of the hour to flatten the raging curve and there’s no alternative to it. The officials in the state have been doing their best to implement the directives issued by medical professionals and as responsible citizens, it’s our duty to cooperate.
