The Ministry of Railways is gearing up to roll out a nationwide initiative to modernise railway stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. As part of this project, 10 stations in Lucknow are set to receive upgrades aimed at enhancing passenger experience.
The planned upgrades include improved station access, upgraded waiting halls, modernised toilets, and facilities like lifts and escalators. Additional features such as free Wi-Fi and kiosks promoting local products under the ‘One Station One Product’ scheme are also part of the initiative.
This update was recently highlighted in the Lok Sabha by the Railways Minister, who listed the earmarked stations in Lucknow: Aishbagh, Charbagh, Daliganj, Lucknow City, Gomti Nagar, Manaknagar, Utratia, Mohanlalganj, Badshahnagar, and Malhaur.

Nationwide, 1,337 stations are slated for modernisation under the scheme, with infrastructure work to be carried out in phases over the coming years.
