Lucknow News | New 'Green Corridor' along Haider Ali Canal in progress; know details
As part of an ongoing beautification project, a new park is being developed along a 900-metre stretch on both sides of Lucknow's Haider Ali Canal, in the 5 Kalidas Marg area. This LDA project aims to provide a peaceful recreational space for the locals while adding to the city's green initiatives.
The park will feature walkways, a cafeteria, parking facilities and extensive horticultural plantings. On Wednesday, Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Dr Roshan Jacob and LDA officials visited the site to review the project's progress.

Reportedly, the park is being designed as a new 'Green Corridor' to enhance the area's aesthetic appeal while promoting a healthier environment for citizens. Spanning a 900-meter stretch, the park will feature walkways, seating areas and a dedicated green zone.
During her visit, Dr. Roshan Jacob also inspected the under-construction 'Saumitra Van' in the Akbarnagar area. The site, previously a slum, is now being transformed into a lush riverfront park. The project will further include an extensive Miyawaki forest, also aimed at enriching Lucknow's green cover.
