The old Lucknow stretch from Teele Vaali Masjid to Chhota Imambara has now been declared a 'Heritage Zone'. Now, no vehicles will be allowed along the 1.2 km area, which also includes monuments like Lucknow's iconic Bada Imambara, Rumi Gate, and the Clock Tower. As a result, tourists and visitors will have to either explore the area on foot or opt for a golf cart ride.

Moreover, the challenge of controlling traffic in the area and increasing the available parking space, has been taken up by the Police and the Municipal Corporation. So this move will also help the department in the same. This step has been taken to protect the beauty of the city's treasured heritage area and prevent any damage to its centuries-old monuments.
