CSIR-CDRI collaborates with ESSCEE Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. for biomedical research

As an important development towards scientific research, CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow has now signed an agreement with ESSCEE Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. for the development of a modified quencher. A quencher is a substance which is primarily intended for biomedical applications in research. Traditionally, these quenchers were solely imported from abroad. But the institute will be able to acquire these quenchers as now they will be developed locally.

State government orders road repairs

The state government has instructed government departments responsible for road maintenance to complete repair work after the monsoon season. From April 1 to August 15, these agencies worked on restoring and repairing 74,143 km of roads in different cities of the state, including Lucknow.

In the previous fiscal year, 96,011 km of roads were repaired in the state. PWD, Engineer in Chief Arvind Kumar Jain has requested detailed action plans from officials to address monsoon-related damages.

5 new spots serving Awadhi streetfood to be added in Lucknow

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) is currently undertaking a project to modernize food streets in five key locations within the city. These locations include the Transgomti area and the LDA CG City area.

Additionally, the LMC has identified three other spots for the development of these food streets, which are the areas opposite the Nagar Nigam office and the UP Press Club in Hazratganj, the vicinity near Marine Drive in Gomti Nagar, and the areas behind the Press Club and in front of Metro City in Nishatganj. The aim of this initiative is to enhance the culinary and recreational experiences for both residents and visitors to Lucknow.

LU opens applications for 145 teaching job positions

Under a massive recruitment drive of University of Lucknow, the varsity has opened applications for as many as 145 positions in streams including Art, Sciences and Method & Pedagogy. Morning assembly now compulsory in UP schools

The secondary education department in Uttar Pradesh has issued directives to make a 15-minute morning assembly mandatory in all schools of the state. The order said that if a school starts at 10 a.m., then morning assembly should be held from 9.45 a.m. As a part of ‘naya sawera’, two senior officers will visit schools during assembly hours and interact with students on topics of life values, discipline, career, daily routine and recent contemporary topics.
