UP Police initiates 'predictive policing' campaign to reduce crime in the state

The UP Police has launched a predictive policing campaign with the aim of identifying potential criminals and crime-prone areas within the state. Predictive policing involves utilizing analytical methods to pinpoint targets for police intervention, ultimately preventing criminal activity.

As part of this initiative, numerous gazetted and non-gazetted police officers throughout the state have been trained to grasp the concept of predictive policing and implement it in their respective districts. This approach is expected to enhance the overall quality of life for the state's residents by lowering crime rates.

LU to offer dual & twinning degrees from 2023-24 academic session

In a bid to provide more academic flexibility to their students, Lucknow University will introduce dual degree programs. In these programs, students will have the opportunity to simultaneously pursue two separate degrees.

Additionally, LU will expand its offerings to include twinning degrees, which are joint programs developed in collaboration with international universities. Through these twinning degree programs, students will not only gain valuable international exposure but will also have the chance to visit the campuses of their respective international partner institutions.

46% growth in cargo movement registered at CCS Airport

Ever since Lucknow Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) initiated its cargo arrival facility back in March 2022, the airport has consistently experienced a substantial surge in cargo traffic. In comparison to the previous year, 2022 saw the airport recording an impressive 46% increase in cargo volume. This year, a total of 8,500 tons of cargo were handled at the airport, a notable increase from the 6,300 tons handled in the previous year.

The airport's increasing popularity can be attributed to its role as a regional hub, with cargo not only originating from Lucknow but also flowing in from neighboring cities.

UPMRC opens entries for hindi slogan contest on Twitter

To mark the occasion of Hindi Diwas, observed on September 14, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has launched an online Hindi Slogan Contest that welcomes participation from all individuals.

Participants have the opportunity to submit their entries by commenting before 8 PM on September 14, and the Hindi slogans should revolve around the themes of Lucknow and Kanpur metro. At the conclusion of the contest, UPMRC will recognize and reward the two most outstanding slogans.

Rohan Bopanna to join Indian squad for Davis Cup World Group II match in Lucknow
