Lucknow News | Soon distribute food to the needy via the 'Share Food, Share Joy' portal

Has it ever happened that you've watched tons of food get wasted after a particular wedding or function and have felt helpless, thinking that it could've helped the needy?

Now, with 'Share Food, Share Joy' initiative, you'll be able to distribute the joy to the underprivileged with the help of officials. The district administration, along with Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA), has started an endeavour which will ensure that food isn't wasted instead put to good use.

Pushed by Lucknow DM Surya Pal Gangwar, an online portal will be created through which you can connect with officials. These intermediaries can collect food from you and distribute to the needy or gift other things to them.

Another way around this is that you can yourself go and feed the underprivileged. The officials will equip you with the necessary date and brief you about the location and other required info.

In this manner, you can include others in your moments of joy. At the same time, food will not be wasted but get utilised in an efficient manner and feed the hungry!
