The Telibagh intersection in Lucknow is a major junction, which often remains affected by persistent congestion. To address this, the state government is set to fast-track the construction of a flyover, a project that has been in plans since last year.

The two-lane flyover will provide seamless connectivity between the road from Vrindavan Yojana to SGPGI, easing commutes for vehicles entering the city from nearby highways. As of now, the UP State Bridges Corporation (Setu Nigam) and PWD have been tasked with surveying the area for the flyover construction. Following the survey, approval will be sought from the state government.

To provide better access to city commuters

Currently, six roads converge at the intersection, creating frequent traffic bottlenecks despite ongoing management efforts. Once completed, the flyover will alleviate congestion on Raebareli Road, Alambagh Road, and surrounding areas, including sectors of Vrindavan Yojna and SGPGI. The flyover is also crucial for improving emergency transport to SGPGI, where timely access is essential for critical patients.

The new infrastructure will significantly improve traffic flow and provide better access for commuters from Cantt, Bangla Bazaar, Utratia and Saheed Path.
