In an attempt to help consumers avoid their power connection from being disconnected, UPPCL will now allow partial bill payment in Lucknow and other UP disctricts. In this regard, the UPPCL has also said that no approval or similar formalities will be required on the consumer’s part and the facility will be available both online and offline.
In case someone’s power connection is cut due to non-payment, they will be able to restore it by simply paying 25% of total amount at once. As for the remaining amount, they can pay it across several installments.
UPPCL director has asked officials to spread awareness regarding the facility in rural and urban areas, informing the consumers that they can now pay their power bill in installments.
