Online examinations to take lead in Uttar Pradesh with digital solutions by Wheebox

Reportedly, these artificial intelligence-based remote proctored exams provide a seamless, robust and flexible facility.

Amid the growing need for virtual avenues during the pandemic, the government of Uttar Pradesh has partnered with Wheebox, a global online assessment solutions leader, to digitise the examination process in the state. Under this scheme, pupils from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), and the Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh (BTE) sat for these online tests. Given the uncertain nature of the current times, this move is expected to aid students with timely assessments.

Over 3000 remote proctors deployed across UP for invigilation!

During the aforesaid exams, dedicated teams were stationed by the Universities and Technical Board, apart from the Wheebox specialists. They were responsible for monitoring and surveillance of the proctored exams, in a bid to ensure assess the security of the examinations. As per reports, over 3,000 remote proctors were positioned across the state to supervise and invigilate the applicants.

The Secretary of Board of Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh said, "The smooth deployment of online testing using Artificial Intelligence and Human Proctors have ensured not only the delivery of exams but the online process ensured that results are declared within stipulated time."

As per Nirmal Singh, the founder and CEO - Wheebox, "The pandemic has enhanced our shift towards Remote Proctored Examinations, which will provide the educational institutes with accuracy, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, security, scalability and quicker evaluations. In last one year, we have partnered with more than 130 premier Academic institutions with a smooth transition of online examinations."

Credible, seamless & secure online exam via Wheebox

Reportedly, these online examinations were artificial intelligence-based remote proctored exams, providing the seamless, robust, flexible course of assessments, equipped with anti-cheating facilities. In addition to all of this, Wheebox also made sure that the exams were credible and secured.

Not only this, but Wheebox has also offered futuristic online proctoring solutions, with face recognition and face tracking tools. These amenities would recognise candidates and analyse their facial expressions to figure out any wrongdoing done by them. Moreover, the object detection feature is also helpful in making sure that no prohibited objects are present on the premises. Additionally, the Wheebox Online Proctoring Solutions also records the screen of the candidates and archives it in real-time for insightful evaluations.

Through this initiative, the state authorities are trying to make the students future-ready for the competitive world ahead. In addition to this, the students are also helped with regular tests, irrespective of the surrounding circumstances.

Surgery & casualty wards to soon become functional at South Goa District Hospital

The multi-storied South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) is being upgraded with new facilities to lessen the load off older hospitals and health institutes. As per reports, the new hospital is likely to house the surgery and casualty departments soon in a bid to clear space at the Hospicio Hospital. Earlier also, all outpatient departments (OPDs) were relocated to the spacious new SGDH for the same reason.

Mumbai local trains to operate at 100% capacity from today!

The suburban train services were suspended on March 22, 2020 on account of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

After running restricted operations for over a year, Mumbai's local train services are all set to resume with 100% seating capacity from today. This is being done in order to account for the increased flow of commuters on the trains. Till now, the Central and Western Railways had been operating with 1,702 and 1,304 services respectively, which account for 95.75% of their total capacity. Today onwards, this number will go up to 1,774 in the CR division and 1,367 in WR, thus making complete use of the total capacity on the two lines.
