In a move to ensure hassle-free commute for the residents of Mansarovar Nagar and Transport Nagar, the authorities have initiated plans to stop the route diversion being faced by them. Due to the construction work of Lucknow Shaheed Path Airport Flyover, traffic was hampered in the region and the vehicles were diverted through a different route. Now, the construction material and other obstacles are being removed to resolve the current problems.
Road to be made operational within 2 days
With the completion of the latest intervention, the inhabitants of Mansarovar Nagar and Transport Nagar will be exempted from the route diversion, after 2 and a half years. As a part of this, the bridge corporation has started the work of clearing the obstructions on the road from last Monday. Additionally, it is expected that the road will be made operational for citizens within 2 days, as per the statements of Sunil Kumar, Chief Project Manager of the organisation.
Traffic jams on this route to be dissolved soon
It is to be noted that the establishment of the flyover between Shaheed Path and Amausi Airport has been halted for the past four months. Further, it is suspected that a tussle between LDA and the PWD related to land acquisition issues is the cause behind this delay. Simultaneously, the route diversion has continued for 2 and a half years now, propelled by the slow-paced construction.
As a direct consequence of this, more than 1 lakh citizens of Transport Nagar, Mansarovar, Jalvayu Vihar and Rail Vihar were faced with repetitive traffic jams. In addition to this, other commute problems have been observed too. Making a note of these issues, the Managing Director of Bridge Corporation, Arvind Kumar Srivastava asked for immediate measures to mitigate the difficulties. Subsequently, the construction and debris material is being removed from the road and the smooth traffic movements will be restored soon.
