Efforts to turn the 'City of Nawabs' into a smart city are in full swing with a number of upgrades and additions coming soon. Under the Lucknow Smart City mission, repair work is underway on 80 roads in the city, while orders have also been issued by the Divisional Commissioner to speed up the tender procedure and other formalities to quickly start the construction of Lucknow's first Divyang Park.

Steps also being taken to ensure safe transport for school students

Apart from the above-mentioned initiatives, students in municipal corporation schools in the city have already been issued digital health cards to avail free treatment. The focus has now shifted to ensuring safety for students in Lucknow schools under 'Mission Bharosa'.

Under the said mission, Regional Transport Office (RTO) will collaborate with schools in the city to put together a list of school vehicles and their drivers. The list will then be verified and the drivers will be issued Digital ID cards, as reported by Mission Bharosa officials.
