Lucknow to act as a center stage for artistic expression, preceding UP's 'Ground Breaking Ceremony'

Ceremony to be held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan from February 19-21.

Numerous events have been lined up, preceding the three-day 'Ground Breaking Ceremony 4.0' on February 19 in Uttar Pradesh. The programmes will be an explosion of culture and tradition, exhibiting the heritage and cultural significance of UP. The Prime Minister is set to perform the “bhoomi pujan” at Lucknow's Indira Gandhi Pratishthan (IGP).

Highlights of the event comprise a Kathak performance to accentuate the classical arts based in the state, with the central programme narrating the story of Ayodhya, its historical and cultural value, its connection to the roots of heritage and more.

"From the ancient roots embedded in mythology to its relevance in contemporary India, the cultural programme will showcase journey through time,” explained Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture, and Director General, Tourism.

Moreover, artistes from across UP have been invited to entertain esteemed guests and showcase their diverse cultural tapestry. To engender an immersive experience, Lucknow's streets will also be graced by performances by artistes from all around the state.

Efforts are being put in to make Uttar Pradesh an 'Enterprise State' and a '1 trillion dollar economy'. The ceremony is said to mark the commencement of ground implementation of investment proposals worth ₹10 lakh crore. This will bolster the industrial development of Uttar Pradesh and create about 33 lakh employment opportunities, the state government has announced.
