In an attempt to upgrade its infrastructure, Lucknow University (LU) has launched a dedicated mobile application and a number of facilities for its students and employees recently. Governor of Uttar Pradesh Mrs. Anandiben Patel launched the application among other facilities during the convocation ceremony of the university on Friday. Additionally, open-air gyms have also been set up on the campus of this state-level university.

Facilitating an easier way to browse through the university website, fill examination forms and get the latest information among others, the University of Lucknow has launched a dedicated application for its students and employees now. With the help of this application, one can get all the latest updates from the university administration directly on their mobile phones. Moreover, three boys’ toilet along with two toilets for women has been constructed in the university campus as well.
Under the ambit of the ‘Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan’, the authorities have also established 17 open-air gyms in LU boys and girls hostels on both old and new campuses. As per the officials, the facilities inaugurated by the governor include a tribal museum, residences for class four employees and a new lift at the four-storey education department building. Reportedly, the department of the National Service Scheme (NSS) renamed as ‘Sewa Bhawan’ was also launched in a new avatar during the convocation ceremony of LU.
