Earlier, Lucknow University had decided to prepare an MCQ question paper for PG students as well, however, a theory-based paper was agreed upon at the end, in a meeting conferred by the Examination Committee here. At the same time, the paper format has been revised as per the information relayed by LU's Examinations Controller. Now students have been given the liberty to solve questions from all units, unlike the previous unit-wise patten.

Until now, Lucknow University's question papers had 5 units- the first unit consisted of compulsory short questions while there was a choice in each of the other four units. As per the new paper pattern, students can answer any question from any unit. The Examination Controller stated that a theory-based examination was finalised by all for postgraduate programmes in view of the stabilisation of the COVID-19 situation in Lucknow. Meanwhile, the UG programmes will conduct MCQ format examinations, on the same lines as the previous year.
