In an aberrant move, the city’s distinguished Lucknow University had last year allowed BTech students to change their branches in the third sem. Following the same orders for this year too, the univeristy has released the last date to apply for change. Students pursuing Bachelors of Technology (BTech), conducted under the Engineering Faculty of LU, can submit applications for the change by November 18, 2022.
“BTech third semester students who have passed BTech first year without any back and are willing to change their existing branch to other branch (as per para 5 of BTech ordinance) where vacancy exists may submit their application on the prescribed proforma,” the university released a notification. The proposed change will be accepted and implemented on the basis of merit.
Here’s how you can register and apply
As far as the application process is concerned, students can download the form from the LU website and submit it at the campus office on or before November 18 by 3 PM. The fee receipt of the third semester has to be attached to the application, besides an undertaking written by the student.
The applicants also have to attend a consequent committee meeting taking place on November 20 at 2 PM, where they will be allotted the branch of their choice.
Direct admissions for BTech, BPharm, and MCA of first semester are currently underway and those willing to apply can submit their applications by November 7 at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the second campus.
