The citizens would be required to register themselves on the centralized portal for vaccination which awaits a start shortly. It would take the general details of the individuals including their medical history. People would be mandated to get a document ID verified on the portal, post which they would receive a confirmation on the registered number.

The District Magistrate has appealed to the people of the city to record their functional mobile numbers on the website. It is through this contact that a person would be informed about the date and place of vaccination for both the doses. The entire process of vaccine registration is automatic and if the right contacts aren't provided, one may be dropped out of the inoculation process.

The DM further asked the citizens not to fall into the trap of fake portals and clarified that there is no shortcut route for gaining instant vaccination. While the administration is making sure that the citizens are informed about the updates frequently, citizens can contact the state toll-free number 1800-1805-145 or COVID-19 control room number 0522-4523000 in case of ambiguity.
