The infamous Malhaur railway overbridge, that had been under construction for the last five years, has finally reached completion and is open for public use. The railway overbridge will be extremely significant in easing the traffic flow in the Malhaur area of the city.

The railway overbridge which starts near Amity Lucknow Campus and terminates near Viraj Khand is now open for public use.
The construction of the overbridge, which was supposed to open years ago, was delayed due to some complications. For over two years the construction seem to go nowhere, but last February the bridge was reported by Knocksense to be in the final stages of its construction.
The Facts
The Malhaur railway overbridge project was approved in 2013 while the construction work was carried on till 2016. Then due to the fact that the angle of the bridge was low and the railway pillars quite high, the construction first came to a halt. After the issue was resolved the project was stopped once again because of some problems.

The significance
With the construction of the overbridge going nowhere, the Malhaur railway crossing was the only way for people to reach Malhaur. It was especially a pain for people heading towards the Amity campus. The railway crossing is mostly congested and results in jams that last for hours.
With the new overbridge people will not have to wait in the tiring jams or waste their precious time. It also means that students will no longer have an excuse for reaching the college late or missing their classes.
