The announcement of Unlock 1, came as a big relief to a lot of people whose businesses had been shut ever since the nationwide lockdown began. Under this new rule, malls, places of worship, eateries and work places in the safe zones across the country, were allowed to function once again while keeping in mind the safety rules.
The gates of the malls in Lucknow were opened for the people after months, however, the shops inside remain closed and will not open until further notice. The reason for this, is a discord between traders and mall owners over the payment of rent and common maintenance fee for the lockdown period. These shops will remain closed until the demands are met.
How safe are the malls?
If you are wondering about how safe the malls in the city are, be assured because the authorities have taken all the mandatory steps to ensure hygiene. One can only enter the malls after a thermal check. Each person has to give their details and is then given a token that has to be returned while exiting the mall. Even the entry and exit gates have been made separate for the public, to avoid crowding.
Businesses back on track but the threat remains!
This was a big step taken by the government in order to bring the economy back on track, however, it doesn’t mean that the threat is over or the risk has reduced in anyway. You can sure move out to refill your supplies or make any other important purchase but make sure you don’t misuse this opportunity and loiter around uselessly.
