The monsoon has weakened across Uttar Pradesh, with no significant rain expected until July 25. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any rain warnings for the next three days. Scattered light rain may occur in some areas, but overall dry and humid conditions are likely to persist.

Heat & humidity grip most parts

On Monday, intense sunlight troubled residents in Lucknow and neighbouring districts. Eastern UP saw occasional cloud cover over the weekend, but rainfall was limited to light drizzles, leaving most areas waiting for proper showers. People across the state continue to struggle with heat and rising humidity.

Light to patchy rainfall was recorded in parts of Varanasi, Basti, Bahraich, and Sultanpur yesterday. Southern and western UP may see light drizzles on Tuesday, but widespread rainfall remains unlikely in the immediate future.

Monsoon revival likely after July 25

According to IMD Uttar Pradesh updates, no active weather system is currently influencing the state, hence the lack of rain. However, a fresh low-pressure system may form over the Bay of Bengal after July 25, which could revive monsoon activity in UP.
