Celebrating two years of its successful execution along the entire stretch of the North-South corridor, Lucknow Metro is offering free rides for all citizens having a Go-Smart card on March 8. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is marking the anniversary of the launch of its maiden facility in Lucknow through an array of events scheduled for the day. Amidst a string of festivities planned for this special occasion, newly constructed gate No. 5 of the Sachivalaya Metro Station was inaugurated.

The real gift for the travellers lies at the Hazratganj metro station where commuters stand a chance to take back home alluring prizes through a ‘fortune wheel’ program, slated to be held at 5 PM. Additionally, the top 3 Go-smart consumers and the 3 croreth metro traveller will be honoured here. While a musical band performance is all set to thrill the visitors from 3 PM to 5 PM, educational institutes that have decorated metro complexes with Rangolis will be felicitated at 5 PM.
Subsidised health Check-up facilities at multiple metro stations
As the facility marks its grand day, the authorities have also executed a scheme keeping the citizens’ well-being in mind. As a part of this, health check-up camps at Munshipulia, Indira Nagar, Hazratganj and Alambagh metro stations are conducting blood sugar, B.P. and cholesterol tests at a low cost of ₹10. In addition to this, facilities for other diagnostic tests are also available at reduced prices. Given a list of programs being put together by UPMRC, its commitment to bettering the lives of city residents is clearly visible.
As per the information given by UPMRC, the new gate at Sachivalaya Station shall provide an added benefit to commuters traveling to Akashvaani, PNB, Hotel Marriot, Police Office amongst other places. It is expected that this gate shall aid in better management of crowds on the metro campus.
