The buses will be travelling to and from all four major bus stations in Lucknow
After Diwali, there has been an uptick in passengers travelling to Eastern UP from Lucknow on account of Chhath celebrations. The influx of travellers into the city is also up, as people are returning to their jobs after Diwali. To counteract this increased rush, the Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, on Monday, launched 60 new non-stop buses that will run between Lucknow and 10 major cities.
Bus service to ease travel across Eastern UP
The buses will be running from the Kaiserbagh, Alambagh, Charbagh and Kamta (Awadh) bus stations. They will ply on the Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Balrampur, Basti, Behraich, Prayagraj, Ayodhya and Sultanpur routes. The service will be available till 11 November. The 60 buses are in addition to the 250 buses that had already been allotted previously for the festive season.
