Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has flagged off luxury buses that’ll ply on the Lucknow-Dehradun route and ease commute between the two cities. Inducted for the benefit of the travellers, especially for those travelling during the Christmas and New Year holidays, these Volvo buses will cover the Lucknow-Dehradun distance in 12 hours.
The bus fare and schedule:
The luxury buses will commence the journey daily from the Kaiserbagh bus station in Lucknow at 5 PM, reaching the destination early at 5 AM in the morning, covering a distance of 604 km between the two point. The return journey from Dehradun has been scheduled at 6 PM to reach the Lucknow base at 6 AM in the morning.
Passengers will have to pay a premium ticket fare, marked at ₹ 1649 to avail these luxury services. The Assistant Manager of rural bus services notified that the bus tickets will be made available to the travellers instantly by the bus conductor, based on the availability of seats in the buses.

These services have opened up a pathway for safe and luxury travelling in the chilling, foggy weather during the winter season. The buses also assure tourists of a steady and convenient mode of travel ahead of Christmas and New Year breaks, which will have a positive impact of the tourist economies of both, Lucknow and Dehradun.
