Air pollution today has become a major issue. No matter which way you turn, most cities/states are fighting their battle with air pollution and it often seems that pollution is winning around all ends. Lucknow is one city that has been battling with air pollution for a long time. The air quality in the city is abysmal and often has crossed even Delhi in pollution rankings. The air quality is degrading by the day and it often seems that there’s no respite in sight for the people of the city.
To counter the rampant pollution issue, Lucknow Municipal Corporation has turned towards water cannon trucks and motorised sweepers.
What’s the update?
In a bid to decrease the air pollution in Lucknow and help the residents breathe easy, LMC has decided to attack the particulate matter. They have brought in water cannon trucks and motorised sweepers, which will help in reducing the particulate matter from the atmosphere hence reducing the air pollution issue in the city.
Since dust particles make-up a major chunk of the particulate matter in the air, the LMC expects to see a significant decline in the air pollution in Lucknow. The water cannons will help in cleansing the air by shooting down the dust particles, while the motorised sweepers will further cleanse the streets of Lucknow.

LMC’s effort to decrease the air pollution is appreciable and we hope that the city will soon gets a respite from dust and pollution. While we also hope that the efforts are back when Lucknow actually goes through an air pollution crisis, especially during the onset of winter when the pollution is at its peak.
