We cannot even imagine a world without our precious rivers, however, the rate at which they are drying out, signals the unimaginable.
The water that supports livelihood and lives of people, is depleting at an alarming rate, and it’s time for us to come together and safeguard the rivers.

One such initiative is- Rally For Rivers, a campaign, launched by Isha Foundation in 2017 to tackle the scarcity of water across rivers in India. The month long rally started in Coimbatore on September 3rd and is being driven by Sadhguru. Travelling to many cities, the rally will come to an end in Delhi where Sadhguru will present a draft policy to save our rivers to the PM of India.
Isha Foundation is proposing a comprehensive river rejuvenation plan to reverse this decline and revive our rivers. To submit a policy recommendation to the central government, mandate of the people is very important, where a minimum number of 10 crore votes are needed.

This time, the rally is coming to Lucknow on September 26 and you can be a part of it too. The event will be taking place at the Ambedkar Auditorium, R.M.L. Law University, Ashiyana, from 9:30 am to 11 am. You can register your name, on their official site, for free.
Many celebrities and other eminent people from all walks of life have helped the rally gain huge momentum. The Karnataka government has already signed an MOU with Isha Foundation to plant 25 crore tree sapling along the River Cauvery.
