Record high Coronavirus cases reported in Lucknow, over 1,255 in a single day!

Recording as many as 1,255 cases in 24 hours, Lucknow has reported the highest tally in the state, which is consequently also its highest spike since the virus outbreak. With increased testing, Lucknow sampled a total of 7,829 people by means of surveillance, contact tracing and on-demand testing. With this surge, Lucknow's total caseload now stands at 44,109, with an active total of 10,044 cases.

Despite the efforts of both, state and city Administration, Lucknow's infection chain is rapidly multiplying, generating a steep rise in the virus cure. With a towering fatality count, which is also the highest in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow witnessed 16 deaths on Friday, culminating the total count to 576, so far.

These high statistics with high case positivity rate of 16% on Friday, project's bad news for Lucknow where 7,585 patients are in home isolation currently. Lucknow has also reported 970 recoveries in a single day and with this, the city has also managed to record the highest tally of recovered patients in the state. As many as 120 people of these were being treated in Lucknow's renowned and dedicated coronavirus hospitals, while the others got cured of the symptoms and infection in home isolation itself.
