In an eco-conscious move, UP’s own IPL team Lucknow Super Giants is hosting a 10-km marathon on March 17. With a catchy tagline and theme ‘Run today for greener tomorrow’, the marathon aims at spreading awareness around environment-related issues. One can register for the marathon via Book My Show.
P.S. Every runner here will get an LSG fan jersey, sustainable LSG cloth drawstring bags, plantable bibs and lunch boxes. For all participants that make it to the finish line, provision of finisher medals and e-certificates will be taken care of by the organisers.
All you need to know about the green marathon
The annual green marathon is not just your average marathon. Here, the winner can bag up to ₹10 lakh. In the open category, winners of men and women’s categories will receive up to ₹1 lakh. At the same time, the first runner-up and second runner-up will receive ₹75,000 and ₹50,000 respectively. The winners will also get introduced to the IPL team!

Top 3 -10k finishers, men and women, falling within the age groups shall be eligible for the following prize money:
