After a gap of 2 months, finally the authorities have come up with considerable relaxations during this 4th phase of the lockdown in hopes of reviving the economical conditions. The administration of Lucknow announced that centrally air-conditioned shopping complexes in the city can be back in business but the air conditioners need to be kept shut.
Lucknow District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash stated that the shopping complexes in the containment and buffer zones will continue to remain shut and the only one-third of the shops in the complexes will be allowed to remain operational.
Every person needs to strictly follow the rules of social distancing and the entry of pregnant women and the elderly above the age of 65 will be prohibited. Even children below 10 years of age will not be allowed in the vicinity. There’ll be thermal scanners and sanitisers at the entrance of every shopping complex and the staff needs to wear masks and gloves to carry out transactions.

The Chief Medical Officer has to be immediately informed if any citizen is found at the complex with COVID-19 symptoms. The shops situated inside the shopping complexes can operate between 7AM – 7PM and regular sanitisation of shopping complexes have to be carried out using bleaching powder and hypochlorite solution. Only four persons will be allowed in an escalator (if any) in a shopping complex and at all times, a lift operator is required to be present. The lift should also be sanitised every hour.
