In an attempt to provide a much-needed relief from the upcoming summer season, Lucknow will soon witness the trial runs of AC electric buses. All set to be deployed on the route connecting Charbagh Bus Station and Viraj Khand Bus Stop via Gomti Nagar Extension, these buses will assure an easy and upgraded means of intra-city travel for residents across Lucknow. During the first phase of implementation, 6 buses shall ply on the city roads in two shifts for a period of about 1 week.
Maximum benefits for the residents of Gomti Nagar Extension!
Starting from Charbagh Bus Station, the electric vehicles shall pass through Hazaratganj, Sikandarbagh, 1090 Chauraha, Lohiya Park, Dayal Paradise, Gate 7 and 1 of Janeshwar Mishra Park, Greenwood Apartments, Makhdoompur Police Station, City Montessori School and Husadiya Chauraha, on its way to Viraj Khand Bus Stop. Similarly, the bus will follow the same route on its return trip. Numbered as ‘501’, the buses shall operate under two schedules, from 6 AM to 2 PM and from 2 PM to 10 PM.
While city dwellers have often faced difficulties in navigating their way to the Gomti Nagar Extension, this new service not only increases accessibility but also guarantees a relaxed and comfortable journey. Additionally, the residents of Gomti Nagar Extension can avail the new facility for direct travel to Charbagh Railway Station, Charbagh Bus Station and Hazratganj.
