Taste the real flavours of Dilli at the “Dastan-e-Delhi” food fest @ The Centurion, Lucknow

The biggest buffet in town, The Centurion has once again outdone itself. This time, the buffet and fine dine restaurant has brought the famous flavours of Delhi’s street food to Lucknow and we are all for it.

The lanes and bylanes of Delhi that come alive with flavours and aromas, are known for their delicious street food. From pani puri, aloo chaat, to the tandoori chicken and Punjabi fish fry, when it comes to food there is so much that you can taste and explore in Delhi. Yet, not all of us can be there. To make sure that you get to experience the fire work of flavours from Delhi’s street food, head to Dastan-e-Delhi street food festival at the Centurion.

The street food festival is bringing the best of Delhi’s street food on your plate. With seven different live counters, each representing a different place in Delhi and the food that it is famous for, The Centurion has left no stone unturned.

From the pizzas at the inner circle of Connaught Place to the Rodios style grilled chicken and fish at Greater Kailash, Purani DIlli ke mashoor chhole bhature, parathe wali gali’s nimbu and mirchi parathe, Chanakya puri’s momos, Chandni Chowk’s kulfi and jalebi and last but not the least, Rajouri Garden’s Pani puri, Aloo tikki and matar chaat, are all but a few things that headline the amazing spread that they have at The Centurion.

What we had

We had the famous pani puri with four different kinds of water, Jeera, Heeng, Nimbu Pani and Meetha (we prefer the heeng and nimbu pani by-the-way), Amritsari Fish Fry- which was crispy and delicious, the classic chicken tikka- which was juicy and grilled to perfection, the Chanakya Puri special chilly chicken and cheesy cigar rolls with sweet chili sauce, while the former was flavourful and had a bite to it, the latter crispy and delicious.

We also had the hariyali paneer tikka, crispy corn salt and pepper, chicken cutlets, and Charga chicken all of which were quite flavoursome and filling.

We would recommend going for the dinner to enjoy the real street food experience with the live counters serving delicious grub and the tandoor turned on a full blast!
