A volunteer association across Lucknow and other cities is braving the tides of COVID waves & is reaching out to those in need.
Amid the testing times of the coronavirus pandemic, it is certain that the present-day heroes have upgraded from capes to PPE suits and masks and the volunteer group of Team Madad Karona is yet another testament to this fact. A unified association of helping hands from Lucknow and other cities, this force started off in 2020 as a support group to provide food and other essentials to migrant workers. However, with the swell of infection of this year, the team has come forward as a pandemic relief for all those in need.
Team Madad Karona is extending all-inclusive help for all!
Team Madad Karona has buckled up to provide an expansive range of benefits to the pandemic stricken in Lucknow and other neighbouring regions. The task force has emerged as a trusted disseminator of correct and verified information about COVID-19 amid all the chaotic chatter and has even tied up with a few NGOs to widen its reach and scope.
So far, the team has actively engaged in providing free food supplies for lunch and dinner to home isolated COVID-19 patients. Other medical facilities, such as oxygen cylinder refilling and real-time updates about LMO renewal, have also been provided by them. The volunteer group even leads free medicine distribution drives to provide recommended drugs to the needy positive patients. In the past, they have helped in burials and even cremations for all, as well.
The rural outreach programme
Recently, the team joined hands with a provisional dedicated COVID-19 hospital, at a school, located near Topkhana Bazar in the Lucknow Contentment. The task force is working in tandem with the officials and the team of doctors to bring patients here to ensure proper medical assistance for all.
Besides this and several other accomplishments under its belt, Team Madad Karona aims to reach out to masses in rural areas and spread mass awareness about coronavirus infection and related precautions, from ground zero. It will spread the word about the current pandemic scenario and teach people how to deal with emergency situations.
