Upon his visit, the Defence Minister checked out the ongoing works of NHAI and PWD, running on the Sultanpur Road. According to NHAI officials, the construction of the cloverleaf interchange, which will connect the Outer Ring Road and Purvanchal Expressway, will be completed by 2022. Likewise, the Outer Ring Road near Kakori, will be directly affixed to the Agra Expressway.
The erection of the 11-km long Kisan Path, is slated to start at the end of December this year and the entire cost of it is pegged at Rs 751 crores. Upon completion, this stretch will observe around 42,000 thousand vehicles passing through it. Additionally, PWD is also building a 2-km long service lane here, at the cost of Rs 24 crores. After the flyover is built, this road will still be accessible for local vehicles and NHAI also has further plans to construct a road from here towards Rae Bareilly Road.
Reportedly, the highest railway over bridge (ROB) in the country, has been built above the railway line on Kisan Path, with a towering height of 12.7 meters. This has been initiated, keeping in mind the double decker trains.
The Defence Minister also reached to inspect the redesigned flyover being built at the Tedhipulia intersection and the officials informed him that 60% of the work here has been done and it'll take two more months for the completion of it. The expanse will probably be open for use, before March and due to the absence of a pier cap, the entire stretch will be accessible by the commuters. It is being audited by IIT Mumbai and the work of five spans has been completed.
