Lucknow Mahotsav is undoubtedly the most awaited event for the residents of the city. Each winter, we wait for the beginning of the most phenomenal event of Lucknow, with bated breath. For we know that without the mahotsav and its extravagance our winters will be deemed incomplete.
This year is no different; while Lucknowites may not be able to enjoy the glitz and glamour of the festival in 2019 itself, the season of winter will not be deprived of its charm. To make sure that the Lucknow winters are as enjoyable as ever, the mahotsav will finally begin from January 17, 2020!

The Lucknow Mahotsav was expected to begin from November 25, but owing to the Ayodhya verdict, it was postponed without any confirmation of a later date. To keep the cheer and fun going, the authorities have finally put a date to the Lucknow Mahotsav and it’s happening sooner than you’d think!
In a statement released on November 23rd by the Lucknow Mahotsav Committee, the festival will now be held from January 17 to January 23, 2020. It has also been confirmed that the event will take place at the Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan.
Though the official reports say that the festival will only happen for a week, we hope that it will be extended for a couple of more days, as it is every single year.

There’s no doubt to the fact that the Lucknow Mahotsav is one of our favourite festivals and we wait for it, year round. The exhibitions, the food stalls, the rides and the cultural events add an undeniable cheer to the chilly winters.
The festival is also a shopper’s paradise, the local artisans and businesses that come here from around the country have some of the most attractive clothing, apparel and handicraft items. Hence we can honestly say that there’s nothing we’re more excited about than Lucknow Mahotsav!
