The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that, starting this season, all tiger reserves and national parks in the state will reopen annually on November 1. Aimed at boosting tourism, the move shifts the reopening date from November 15, allowing visitors earlier access to the parks.
The Forest Department is already preparing for the change, with online bookings set to begin soon. The state’s major parks, including Dudhwa National Park, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, and Katarnia Ghat, remain closed during the monsoon to maintain natural habitats and protect wildlife.
Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister for Forests, confirmed the directive, stating that official orders will be issued soon. This will be followed by the commencement of online bookings for visitors eager to witness the region’s majestic tigers and the influx of winter migratory birds.
